SAN FRANCISCO : Google Home smart speaker and the Chromecast faced serious issues that lasted for arround 12 hours which sent millions of users into a state of nervousness worldwide, a media report said.
The issue affected Google Home and Google Home Mini speakers which respond to commands of your voice, and also Chromecast device that plugs into your television and allows you to watch video content.
Music, timers, smart home controls and many other Google Home functions went down for many users as they reported that they were not able to do anything from streaming on Chromecast to use it for connecting to other devices.
Google responded on Twitter by telling that people may not have set up their devices ie, Chromecast or Google Home rightly.
"Google's Twitter account was shortly overloaded with complaints from around the globe, including Spain , India , Ireland , New Zealand and Argentina.

Users were strongly annoyed at both the length of the issue and the lack of knowledge from Google about it, after it was identified. Also Google has not even given a reason for why these devices went down, the only thing that came was apology for the problems faced and provided a fix for the issues.
